No other cultural sculptures had the noses removed time and time again by those who took that area over. It ain’t some “The nose was the easiest thing to steal” bs either.
more like, we don’t want you to know how wide that nose was…When ever I see this picture and pictures like it my heart sinks… you can see the actual tool marks from the item used to remove the nose. You see the effort, the loathing and the determination… All of these proponents of the nose theft theory have yet to explain where these noses are today if they were so prized. The answer is no damn where, they are destroyed.
